I have finally completed the site overhaul. Sheesh - there's alot of work to be done behind the scenes on a website. All of you web coders will know exactly what I am talking about, but to the unknowing - I can confirm for you that this task is a big one - considering the meagre size of my site, I'd dread to think what the job would be like on one of the really major sites. It's a cool industry to observe, but working in it? Damn.. There's just so much to do! Colin out.

I removed the offending page, and applied for a new job this morning. It would be nice if I could walk straight into another job, as it would mean I wouldn't have to lose my home. They can take my job, but they'll never take my NEO-GEO! Colin out.

Today was a very bad day. I lost my job. It's quite ironic, actually - you know why I lost it? I lost it because one of the phone operators at my work found my internet site (this site) and showed it to a few of the managers. I was dismissed without even a warning on the grounds that my views were not aligned with that of the company. What they were making a reference to specifically, is the 'I hate customers' page - they felt that this site must reflect my true views, and as such - I'm not the sort of person that they wanted to have working for them. It kinda sucks that they didn't even give me a warning, and basically walked me right out of the place immediately. They didn't even let me negotiate, remove the page or anything. But now, I'm out. I'm really not sure what I'm going to do. Colin out.

pmHere I am, at my parents, smoking my brothers cigarettes, because I smoked too many this week. Tomorrow is payday *choice* and I'll be re-stocking again. I'm gonna buy that Lord of the Rings game tomorrow, and learn some even more whup ass strategies.. hehe.. I'll make sure that Nick never wins.. My money hasn't hit my account yet, but it will in a couple of hours.. eBay here I come. Colin out.

I arrive home today only to find that my 'The Last Blade' NEO-GEO game has finally arrived, but I wasn't at home to pick it up, I just got the 'You have a postal item awaiting collection' slip left in my mailbox. I'll grab it on Thursday. Colin out.

Just played the sweetest board game, it's called 'The confrontation' and it's thematically based on The Lord of the Rings, and it plays a little like the old board game classic 'Stratego' but with fewer characters, and more character specific abilities, as well as an extra element to the gameplay system via cards that are used to resolve combat. It's great, but my friend Nick is the one that owns the game; he got it for his birthday. We've played 5 games so far, and he still hasn't beaten me, so I almost feel a little bad for him, but not tooo bad :) Colin out.

Just finished downloading Battlefield 1942, and guess what, it was the same stupid racing game, Sports GT or something. I guess that piracy doesn't pay.. Oh well, My little brother is trying it again, hopefully it will work this time. Anyhoo, that's it for today. Colin out.

Today I added the news strip. I poked around www.gamefaqs.com for a while, to check out the feedback on my MVS system, and so far it seems that few people are able to easily believe the price that I got it at.. hehe.. Anyway, it's all good. I resumed a download for Battlefield 1942 (let's hope that this is the right one this time, sheesh). Get this: The first time that I downloaded all 300 meg on my 56k modem, it wasn't even the right game. The title SAID 'Battlefield 1942' but it ended up being some bloody GT racing game. The second time, 4 days ago I tried again, this one being ANOTHER 300 meg, it ended up as NHL 2002. Damn! (NHL 2002 is a good game incidentally, and I didn't lose too much sleep over it). Ok. Now the 3rd download is nearly complete - only 30 meg to go - and lets pray that it ends up being the right one this time. Colin out.
